Hiroyuki Sasahara, professor of the GIR, received the JSPE Takagi Award for 2018 from the Japan Society for Precision Engineering on March 14, 2019.

The award is presented annually to the author(s) of the seminal paper with high industrial value in the field of precision engineering, published in “SEIMITSU KOGAKUKAISHI” of JSPE, or “PRECISION ENGINEERING Journal” of the International Societies for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology”.
