Award Achievement: Regulation of Energy Metabolism via Fatty Acid Receptors of dietary gut microbial metabolites.
Reasons for the award: The award recognizes that diet plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis not only as a source of nutrients and energy, but also as a signal molecule via nutrient-recognition receptors. It is expected to help the development of preventive and therapeutic agents against energy-metabolic disorders by interconnection of Food – Intestinal Environment – Nutrient-Sensing Receptors.
Summary of the award: An outstanding abstract will be selected from the members of Japan Society for the Study of Obesity (JASSO) who are under 35 years of age or within 10 years of university graduation, who gives an excellent presentation at the Annual Meeting.
