Title | "Towards Industrial Adoption: A Decade of Advances in Material Testing 2.0"
This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of nearly a decade of research on Material Testing 2.0 (MT2.0) for the calibration of plasticity models. It begins by exploring the fundamental pillars of MT2.0 within a historical context, highlighting their conceptual evolution and established interconnections. The discussion then transitions to the current state-of-the-art in MT2.0 for metal plasticity, with the goal of drafting a clear roadmap for industrial valorisation in the years ahead. While MT2.0 is widely recognized by leading industrial stakeholders as a transformative framework for developing interoperable digital tools that reduce experimental efforts in material model calibration, it faces a critical challenge: its reliance on integrating expertise from traditionally distinct disciplines. The final part of the presentation examines practical pathways for industrial adoption, emphasizing the development of integrated solutions that minimize the need for end-user expertise in the underlying pillars. These efforts aim to unlock the full potential of MT2.0, facilitating widespread implementation and maximizing its industrial impact. |
