Title | "The Ghrelin Receptor: Bridging Structure and Therapy"
This study explores the mechanism behind anamorelin, the only approved drug targeting the ghrelin receptor, in comparison to other synthetic drugs, focusing on its superagonistic activity. Our findings reveal how different ligands bind to the receptor, inducing various conformations and influencing signal transduction. Additionally, we demonstrate the importance of structural data in identifying genetic variations that affect drug efficacy, thereby improving the selection of therapeutics based on individual genetic profiles. This research advances the use of structural analysis for optimizing ghrelin receptor-targeted therapies. |
