Title | "Structure analysis of amyloid fibril β-sheets using vibrational spectroscopy" 〈Abstract〉 Amyloid fibril is a needle-like aggregate of proteins. The fibril formation is a well-known self-organization process. This talk focuses on various approaches using vibrational spectroscopy for fibril structure analysis. β2-microglobulin 21-29 fragment (b2m21-29) is studied as it has an interesting property to form the parallel (P) or anti-parallel (AP) β-sheet structures depending on pH. We discuss how to distinguish the Pβ and APβ structures, how to know the location of β-strands in the sequence, how to compare the intermolecular interaction strength, and consider if or not a “mixed β-sheet” of Pβ and APβ" occurs. |
