The so far unprecedented global research efforts and collaborations show how wastewater analyses can serve and support the public health sector. This presentation will provide an overview of the current state for the art on SASR-CoV-2 monitoring in wastewater, findings from ongoing research projects on the detection and characterization of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants and it will provide an outlook towards future applications of such concepts. |
