Speaker / Topic | ◆Dr. Janne Lehtomaki (Adjunct Professor, Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland) "Wireless Technologies toward THz Bands" 〈Abstract〉 Currently used spectrum is not enough to satisfy the demands anticipated for 2020s. One solution for this is to go to higher frequencies, even higher than currently planned mmWave solutions. Terahertz frequencies have recently gained much interest in research community. To utilize any frequency, channel modeling is required to gain insight into the properties of the channel and signals it can support. In this talk, channel related aspects for terahertz frequencies is discussed. For example, free space path loss, molecular absorption, and diffraction are presented. |
