The aim of this research group is to establish a new international collaborative research team to conduct original research on human-mimetic design and control methods, 3D image processing, deep reinforcement learning, elasticity utilization control, and so on. The goal of the initial three-year period is to realize a three-dimensional autonomous mobile robot. This is an interdisciplinary research team that integrates research in many fields, including mechanical engineering, informatics, robotics, cybernetics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, etc. and will be achieved through international joint research by researchers in these fields. This international joint research team is expected to conduct research in a variety of application fields such as agriculture, home, space, and other fields. In particular, agriculture is an application that takes advantage of TUAT’s unique characteristics, and we will explore the possibility of developing it in a direction towards agriculture-engineering collaboration. Furthermore, the team established through this research will be a team that can work on research in various directions and will actively begin working on various types of diverse research.
